Mägo de Oz @ Howard Theater 6/9/2015 (en Español)

Fui a ver la banda de folk metal de España - Mago de Oz al Teatro de Howard ($38). Ví ellos unos años pasados aquí también. Ellos fueron magnificos, pero yo no los conocía. Esta vez ellos tienen una disco nuevo (Ilussia, 2014) y quizas van a tocar musica de esto. Ví Mujeeb, Diaz, Bessy, y creo que  Scott. Kesta Happening DC, quien reporta en todo de los eventos en el DC tomó muchos fotos (hay un link abajo). Puedes verme en la camista de King Diamond.

Mägo de Oz @ Howard Theater 6/9/2015

I went to see Spanish folk/power metal legends Mago de Oz at the Howard Theater ($38). I had last seen them a couple years ago at this same venue. They were amazing then, and I barely knew them. This time, they have a somewhat new album (Ilussia, 2014) out and they were sure to play some from that. I ran in Mujeeb, Diaz, Bessy, and I think I saw Scott. Kesta Happening DC, who covers nearly all the Spanish language music and other events in the area, was taking a ton of pictures (see below for links). Puya @ the Howard Theater 9/16/2014

I went to see Puerto Rican band Puya ($8.5 goldstar tickets! $25 regular) at the swanky Howard Theater. I met up with Ariel, James, and Raul y su mujer!  There were more than a few boricua there! The Howard Theater intermittently shows heavy concerts, and this was probably the first since 2013's Mago de Oz show. It's so odd what acts they have there, because it is a primarily black music focused, and I think they try to grab the Latin acts as well (which is good because it's a nice place. Nice, but expensive). And then they'll have the random act like Kreator or Ginger Baker.

Mago de Oz/ Metanium @ Howard Theater 5/22/2013

We went to see Mago de Oz ($45!!) at the swanky Howard Theater in DC. It was a night of light wallets, as mine def felt thinner at the end. We saw Dorothy, Henry, and Henry 2 there. And a TON of my Spanish (ok probably not Spanish, probably Hispanic rather, but you know what I mean) brothers.

Epica @ Howard Theater 10/23/2012

Went with Milla to see Epica w/ Alestorm, Insomnium, System Divide, AND Blackguard. whew. Saw Dorothy and the metal 'Mexicans' (they are not really Mexicans, but I can't recall from where they said they were from). We drove down relatively easily.

Kreator @ Howard Theater, September 5th, 2012

Went with John to see Kreator w/ Accept and Swallow the Sun on Sept. 5 at the Howard Theater in DC. We metro'd down and got tickets ($32.50). The newly renovated theater was maybe a minute's walk (not even) from the metro. Saw Ruby and Dorothy there. There were about a little over 100 people there.
