Sebastian Bach / We Love The Underground @ Rams Head Live 7/7/2015

I went to see Canadian metalhead Sebastian Bach ($20) at Rams Head Live in Baltimore. I unfortunately missed local hard rockers Aries due to traffic. I did see Tim Sir, Bobbie, Karen, SarahS, Christian, and of course RocknRollexperience there! Despite being in the first 3 rows, I didn't get a lot of great pics. Oh well.

Saxon @ Rams Head Live 5/15/2015

Went to see aging New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) rockers Saxon at Rams Head Live, and saw Ariel y Ilen, Gori y Omar, Neil n Michelle (and brood!), dude. Ariel's friend, Miss sketchyLindsey, Lyndsey, Blake, Dorothy, Chris Crazy-Wolf, Jay, Ray, and Maery and her husband, and of course Rock n Roll Experience! There was an opener (Cinder Road), but I got there after they were done.

Within Temptation / Amaranthe at Rams Head Live 10/7/2014

I went to see Within Temptation ($30) at the Rams Head Live. They brought the amazing Amaranthe with them this time. Last time, I went to PA to see them.  I had seen WT in 2011 last. I met up with Bridget D, Mari, their sisters, Spencer, Ray, PhotoRay, Lauri, Danica, and I think Bobbie and Nick were there too. This evening there was also Butcher Babies at Soundstage and Deicide /Inquisition/ Spetic Flesh/ Carach Angran at Empire, but that didn't prevent this show from being pretty packed!

Killswitch Engage/ Trivium/ Battlecross @ Rams Head Live 5/15/2014

I went to see Killswitch Engage up in Baltimore ($35 after fees WTF). I met up with Tony and saw Kris, Matt Rice n Witt Black (Yesterday's Saints... who let those chumps out of the studio?) Jose, Scott, and I am pretty sure the singer from Hydra Kyll and Jen P and Bridget were there too.  I was pumped to see Killswitch and hang with my buddy Tony, but I also was interested in the rest of the bill. Would Nothing More sound like an Octane band? Would Battlecross sound the same as last time? Would Trivium be underwhelming like last time?

All That Remains / Asking Alexandria/Devour the Day at Ram's Head Live

Went to see All that Remains at Ram's Head Live ($22) as part of 98 Rock's sold out Not So Silent Night. I met up with Josh and Erin and we hung out. I also saw Mr Rock n Roll Experience there. Everyone else there was as expected, with ball caps, affliction shirts, and maybe some neck tats. Someone in a Bane cosplay (Dark Knight Rises movie version) was there also, for who knows what reason.

Coheed and Cambria @ Rams Head Live, 10/21/2013

We went to see one of my favourite bands on my birthday- Coheed and Cambria! Met up with John, Kate, Timmy, his cousin Nate, and Ms Oksana and we also saw fellow Coheed fan Scott! Now even though I was PUMPED to see Coheed again, they always choose... IMO... less than amazing openers (similar to the Cult, who pulls the same BS). But hey it's their tour, so whatever whatever.

Kix/ Nightsbridge @ Rams Head Live 9/28/2013

We went to see Kix at Rams Head Live (again).  M won tickets from DC Heavy Metal (hey this isn't a metal show, but close enough), so I was pretty pumped.  As this was a Baltimore show and this was Kix, it was going to be a wild night. Saw Tom and Brian B there. I think Rachel was there but I'm pretty sure she got there at some early hour to get up front.

Lamb of God/ Decapitated/ The Acacia Strain @ Rams Head Live 6/19/2013

We went to see Lamb of God up at Ram's Head Live. We also wanted to make sure we saw Decapitated (who we had thought were on first), so we got there a little early. We saw Scott and maybe someone else there!

All That Remains/ Sky Came Burning/ Rome Apart @ Baltimore Soundstage 4/29/2013

I went to see All That Remains in Baltimore w/ my buddies Josh n Erin. I like All That Remains, but wasn't really expecting much from the openers based on samples I heard. I got some Lamb of God tix as well while I was there \m/

Killswitch Engage @ Ram's Head Live 12/27/2012

Went to see Killswitch Engage with Shadows Fall, Periphery and Acaro at Rams Head Live last night. It was a sold out show, but I had a ticket for my buddy Tony, and Milla ended up not going to Dorothy lucked out. Saw Scott and a couple of his buddies (who were at the Job For A Cowboy show last week), and some people Tony knew. WHEW. The guy from Rock and Roll Experience was there too, I saw him get some tix at will call then roll in.

Steel Panther @ Rams Head Live- 5/17/2012

Went to see Steel Panther at Ram's Head Live With John n Kate. It was a pretty packed show (Balcony opened). I think Buckcherry (LAME) had a free live show outside, at Power Plant Live, so that may have affected attendance. First time for me seeing them. 

Saw Nick M. at the show, apparently he loves Steel Panther, too.

James Durbin (that guy from American Idol I think) opened. He had a good voice, but I think he shoulda played more covers IMO. We got there and then he started playing a Dio song \m/. He sang well, but I only like 2/4 songs we heard. And one of those was a DIO song. He could sing for Warrant or Dokken or something, man.


The crowd was pretty receptive (I didn't know they were this popular- why couldn't Warrant draw this crowd?) and there was a lot of singing along. Steel Panther looked and played the part, with their homage/parody perfectly executed. Their interactive banter was prevalent, filthy, offensive, and hilarious. I think this is the show I've laughed the most at. Ever. Not PC at all, and that was fantastic.

 No real complaints except the late start time (10:45pm EST). Was a PITA getting up for work today.

At one point near the last few songs before the encore they brought on a bunch of chicks on the stage. There was def some flashing involved. It was also Micheal Starr's birthday, too.

The duet/cover at the end ...I was hoping for a Motley Crue song, especially because I'm kind of sick of Sweet Child/saw Slash a couple weeks ago and they played that then. That guy has some pipes, despite not having many good songs...IMO.

I only recall him from him bringing Judas Priest on American Idol...but singing "You've got another thing comin'" instead of.. ANY OTHER Priest song.
